Make this your choice for church architecture, small historic centres and time to pause. Visit Gračišće first, continue to Pićan and arrange lunch along the route. Confirm church access in advance if frescoes or interiors are important to you.

Choose Motovun and Grožnjan if this is your first inland visit and you want the best-known combination. Give Motovun’s parking and uphill arrival enough time. Check Grožnjan’s cultural programme if you want more than a walk through its streets.
